Pricing
How pricing works
Every panel job is priced after we have seen the panel. Here is what moves the number, and when you get it.
What decides the price
The size and type of the panel, where it sits, how far it is from the meter, the condition of the service equipment, permit and inspection fees, and whether the utility has to change its connection.
A garage wall or a finished hallway
Distance from the meter
Permit and inspection fees
What the quote includes, and what it doesn't
It names the panel, the breakers, the permit, the inspection visit and our labor, and says how long the price stands. It also names what is left out.
Not included: stucco, drywall and paint
Not included: the utility's own fees
Wiring we find behind the panel is quoted before we touch it
What happens at the visit
Someone from the crew looks at the panel, the meter and the wall, and takes photos and measurements. We don't price a panel from a photo alone. A visit has a fee, which we tell you in writing before we come and credit to the job if you book us.
An arrival window by text
Who is coming, by name
What you pay, and when
The quote says what is due before work starts and what is due when it is finished. We take card, check or bank transfer.
A deposit only if materials must be ordered
The balance when the work is done
When you get the number
From your photos, we write back with what we see and whether a visit is needed. After the visit, the written quote. Always before work starts, in English or Spanish.
A change mid-job is written down and agreed first
The new total in writing
Questions about the quote
What does a visit cost?
The fee is on your quote request, in writing, before anyone comes. If you book the work, it is credited to the job.
Can you quote from photos?
We can tell you what we see and whether a visit is needed. A panel price needs a visit, because the wall, the meter and the wiring behind the panel change the work.
How long does the quote stand?
The quote says. We put the date it runs to on the first page.
